2016 Artist Statement
Down fall
Running Wild
I drew this piece for two reasons, first reason I love drawing cars so when I had the opportunity I took it. second reason I've always liked mustangs so why not put them together. I started this drawing sketching out what I first thought about. After I knew what I wanted I drew it lightly. Second I started adding value, and also on this piece I wanted put the horse and car mustangs together just because I haven't seen anything like this before.
I choose this piece because I felt that this was a good way to describe the emotion sadness. I first started lightly drawing out the image I wanted, then took some vine charcoal to add some value. I also used a charcoal pencil to make the dark areas darker, and shaded white chalk and charcoal together to give somewhat of a skin tone.
I believe I can fly
In this drawing, I drew an eagle looking to it's right with a bright blue background. The feathers are light brown and some dark brown to bring them out. I used oil pastels to achieve this drawing. The oil pastels made really easy to get really bright colors. That's basically what I did to make this piece.
2017 Artist Statement
Water Fall
Phobia
In this drawing, I painted a waterfall using watercolor. It has a perspective look with a light bluish purple sky. I did this painting because I always liked how waterfalls look, all that water flowing.
For this piece, I did a phobia about mirrors I forgot what the phobia was called but in this painting you see a guy looking into a mirror with a scared impression.
My Truck
For this piece, I drew a drawing of my own truck using oil pastels. On the background, there is a light blue sky and grass around the truck is dark blue. and I wanted to draw this because... well it's my truck.
Odell
For this piece, I drew an outline of Odell and started to cut pieces of magazine paper. and started to piece it together and little by little it started to look like Odell.
The Shoe
For this drawing, I drew the outline of my shoe and used color pencils. The background is black the shoe is mostly white but some parts are colored kinda goldish and bright blue colors to give it the effect of color changing.
Music
On this drawing, I drew my friend using pencil. In the drawing, he is listening to music and I made it where the earphone wires turn into musical notes.
Sharp
For this drawing, I drew a pencil sharpener. which I think not many people would draw but I decided to draw it anyways using pen and ink. I think it turned out pretty nice.
Keys
For this draw, I used charcoal, and charcoal pencil. and I drew my keys with a spark plug beside it and I feel like it came out pretty good and the values are good as well.
